Denim is something we all have in our closet, whether its something new we just bought or our favorite pair of jeans weve had for longer than we can remember.
Designers and stylists still emulate the classic styling of the sixties fashion icon Jean Seberg who made slouchy cuffed jeans so chic by wearing them with a striped top. And who doesnt love a great high low combination of mixing denim with a nice jacket or loads of sparkly jewelry.
This fall one of the many denim trends happening is layering and patching of denim. Creating a patchwork of indigo hues thats as pleasing to the eyes as it is comfortable to wear.
Check out this DIY Patched Jeans tutorial for a fun and simple way to create your own pair of super chic patched jeans for fall.
Or if youre more into skirts, check out this truly vintage inspired Recycled Denim Maxi Skirt DIY. This DIY has been around since the 60s, (before it was called DIY!)
How about a fun Recycled Jeans Bag DIY?
Did a couple of recycled denim bags. it was all hand sew, so took a little longer but I had a lot of fun :)
That’s awesome Annie! And a great reminder that many of these projects can be hand sewn too!
Thanks!
