This DIY Neon Rhinestone Belt is a super simple way to add a pop of color to a neutral outfit while also adding a personal touch.
Add a little sparkle to your day with this DIY Neon Rhinestone Belt.
As promised from my last post this DIY belt is another quick and easy way to update your accessories and work the neon trend into your wardrobe.

What youll need to make your DIY Neon Rhinestone Belt:
- Neon cord – 9 pieces each cut to measure double your waist
- 1 Brooch
- Wire
- Hot glue
Step 1
Take your 9 strands of neon cord and bunch them all together and wrap tightly at one end with your wire.
Step 2
Using your hot glue, glue your ends. This will keep them from fraying and also from slipping out of the wire.
Step 3
Separate your strands into groups of 3 and braid. Make your braid as long as you want your belt to be.
Step 4
When you are finished braiding your belt, wrap your ends and cut if necessary. Then just like you did at the beginning, glue your ends.
Step 5
Take your brooch and run the pin through the ends of your belt just under your wire wrappings and close.
Now you have an on trend neon accessory without spending a fortune.
Sometimes its really great to be able to make an awesome accessory in minutes and update your look in less time than it takes to do your hair. Not every DIY project has to be super involved to be great. As with my last post DIY Statement Necklaces, this DIY Neon Rhinestone Belt can be mixed up with different brooches for a new look every time. It also doesnt require sacrificing a cool brooch to a project, you can reuse this brooch on your statement necklace too!
Have fun with your belt, if you dont want to go neon you can use neutrals or more classic colors and even mix colors for a multicolor belt. I could even see a red, white and blue one for the 4th of July. Any takers?
Let me know what you think and let me know how you customize this to make it your own.
Have a great weekend!
Oh cool, if it’s Nylon cord you can also just burn the ends to get them to stick together.

I love this look!! I have a Youtube channel coming up. I am basing it on D.I.Y projects and I would very much like to use your step by step guide on my next Youtube video. Would that be alright with you? xx.
In reply to my last comment I know I asked about your bathbomb guide too and I am sorry if it seems like i’m coming across as taking your credit I can assure you I wont. I will feature your link in my videos when ever I use one of your projects so others will know. :)

Absolutely georgeous!! Im gonna do it for sure!
Kss from Spain!!
This is really cute!!…. Jus curious though how do I put the belt on and off? Is there any fastening perhaps behind?
Thanks Noliwe!
The fastener is actually the brooch. You use the pin to open and close the belt.

What size cord did you use? I had a hard time figuring out whether to get the 2mm or 4mm from Hobby Lobby.
