Valentine’s Day is almost here and what better way to get in the spirit of the holiday than with Valentine Heart Rings! Keep them for yourself or share them with friends.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
- Plastic heart rings
- Mod Podge
- Glitter
- Googley eyes (optional)
I bought the plastic heart rings at Target in the Valentine section. I admit they are a little on the small side, they do fit on my ring finger, they’re a little big on my pinky and the rest we just won’t go there. But these are meant for fun, so we’ll have fun and make them work!
step 1
Cover the top of your heart ring with mod podge.
step 2
Sprinkle glitter over the top of the mod podge.
Let dry.
step 3
You can either stop after step 2 or add a drop of glue to the backs of the googley eyes and attach them to the front of your ring.
For the rhinestone ring, I covered the ring with mod podge then added the rhinestones. Before the glue dried I sprinkled silver glitter over the top to fill in the gaps left by the rhinestones.
This is a super quick project, that would make a great alternative to candy if you’re in need of gifts. You can mix up the colors and add all sorts of things to the front. Have fun with it!
I’ll probably be wearing this red one with the smaller eyes even after Valentine’s Day.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

I’m not really a ring person. Do you think it’s okay to add glitter to my earrings or bracelet?
Of course Melissa! For some inspiration check out these earrings with glitter http://www.trinketsinbloom.com/diy-glitter-earrings/ I actually wear these a lot. For a bracelet just be sure you use a lot of mod podge to make sure your glitter won’t come off if it gets bumped.
