NOVEMBER INSPIRATION

1
November is here! Its time to give thanks and to be grateful for all that we have. Its been a busy year for us and Im really looking forward to decorating, dressing for the holidays and relaxing with family and friends.

November Inspiration

The items Ive put in this inspiration post just barely scrape the surface of what I plan to make for this up coming holiday season. Plus, Ive added two extras (just cause). The moose salt and pepper shakers, because I LOVE moose, theres just something about them, what can I say! And the Pumpkin Pie body wash from Philosophy, its been around for awhile, but its amazing and it smells wonderful!

Im in heaven with all the sparkles, feathers and textures for fall and holiday this year. I hope youre excited too, because youre gonna see a lot of them in the next few weeks!

I’ve admittedly been a little stumped with some padded, silver, paper, stuff I have, but I definitely have a direction now. I hope to share it with you soon. I’m also working on re-purposing some old sweaters into something cozy and glam for fall. Fingers crossed you’ll see them soon.

If you have any ideas or projects you’d like to see a tutorial for, let me know. If I can, I’ll do my best to DIY them.

Just in case you love these items as much as I do Ive added the links for the items on the board.

What are you most looking forward to this holiday season? What are your favorite traditions?

WITCHES BREW

1
Nothing smells like Halloween to me more than Witches Brew simmering on the stove. This hot spiced cider recipe will warm you up and make your house smell amazing.

Witches Brew Recipe Illustration

Ingredients to make your Witches Brew:

  • 32 oz. Apple cider
  • 3/4 cup Orange juice
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • 2 Sticks of cinnamon
  • Handful of Whole Cloves

In a large sauce pan mix all ingredients together and simmer.

This is not an exact recipe, I always make it to taste. The more orange juice you add the sweeter it will be. I like mine a little more tart so I use more apple cider.

This is a really simple recipe yet its unbelievably delicious and the perfect hot drink to sip while carving pumpkins, watching movies or snuggling by a fire.

Witches Brew is really just a fancy name for hot, spiced cider. My mom always made this for us as kids and some how calling it Witches Brew made it almost magical. This is a really special drink for me and it definitely stirs all my senses. I think the smell of whole cloves is right at the top of my list of all time favorite smells.

Witches Brew makes the house smell amazing and it tastes wonderful. You could also add your favorite alcohol to it to make an adult version.

I don’t post recipes very often, but it just wouldn’t be fall or Halloween to me without this hot drink. Thats why I wanted to share this recipe with you.

Do you have a favorite hot fall drink or do you make a version of this one?
