HALLOWEEN DIY INSPIRATION
Halloween is a great time of year. It coincides with the start of fall, the weather is cooling, the days are shorter, we dress up more…wear costumes, crazy make up! It’s time to really get inspired for Halloween DIY.
This weekend I’ll be (hopefully) finishing up my Halloween decorating and working on more DIY’s for Halloween and fashion too. I feel like baking, it must be the weather and all the “pumpkin spice” everything everywhere. I hope to do a lot of relaxing and catch up on some great old movies, especially old horror movies. I love a good Hitchcock suspense; Vertigo, Dial M for Murder, Psycho, North by Northwest, I could go on and on. There’s something about suspense and a great plot, not to mention amazing costumes, I could watch his movies over and over.
Another one of my all time favorite movies is Rosemary’s Baby, by Roman Polanski. It’s not exactly scary in the traditional sense and even a little funny at times, but it’s a great movie.
Be sure to check back on the blog this coming week, my friend Paula will be guest posting on Thursday, doing a Dia de los Muertos face painting tutorial. She’s really talented and paints some amazing designs. You won’t want to miss this!
I’ll also have more fashion DIY’s for fall and of course some more Halloween projects.
Have a great weekend!
HALLOWEEN SPIDER LOAFERS DIY
Halloween is all about costumes (and candy), but it’s also fun to add some subtle macabre into your everyday wardrobe. This Halloween Spider Loafers DIY is just the way to do it.
For this post I’m using products from Martha Stewart Crafts, they were generous enough to send me a large assortment of their paints and stencils to come up with a fun project for Halloween.
