While you’re dyeing your t-shirt why not alter it into an on trend ruffle tube top for summer.

I’m always looking for ways to dye my shirts without all those rubber bands. Even though I really do love the look of tie dye I always seem to want to make something faster. I’m not sure how much faster this is but I love the look the folds make.
For this top I made triangular folds to make this diamond pattern.
This DIY is also a redo of the ruffled tube top DIY I created a couple years ago, but it’s still spot on for summer, simple to make and it goes with everything!
In this version I left the bottom of the side seams open a little bit, giving it more of a shirt-tail hem.
I used square folds to make this blue top.
