Whenever I travel I always come home with a stack of ticket stubs, brochures, and random paper souvenirs. So this time I thought I’d actually do something with them to remember all the fun we had. Enter my travel sketchbook!
On this trip we went Niagara Falls, Thousand Islands (that’s where we saw Boldt Castle), then into Canada, to Montreal and Quebec City. It was my first time to any of these cities and they were all so beautiful, we had a really great time. I’m a bit of a history buff and there was so much to learn on this trip, I loved it!
I really just wanted to get back into working in my sketchbook and this was a fun way to remember my trip. I’m working on trying to draw and paint more, I really love it and even so I still find that I’m always making excuses for not doing it. Hopefully sharing this with you will help to push me to do more.
Do you keep a travel journal or a similar type of sketchbook/scrapbook? I’d love to hear about it, leave me a comment and let me know!
